The Disintegration

Third one in the series.

The host planet through some unknown process has been broken apart, and the host star shines through the fragments of this once whole planet. Surface of the planet only faintly carrying colors of life now long gone, and the planet's orbiter still trying to hang on to it's host, slowly to be drifting away when the center of gravity from the planet disappears.
